Minimum Requirements for Admission

In order to be admitted, you must:

  • Have at least five credits in related subjects, such as English Language, Mathematics, one Science subject, and two other subjects. You can get these credits in one sitting or over two sittings, but not more than five credits in a row.
  • You have to be at least 16 years old to apply.
    Must have at least five years of education after elementary school.
  • For Direct Entry candidates, you must have at least one upper credit in the appropriate ND program.

  • Must have made their first choice when they signed up for JAMB.

Hostel Accommodation

Rooms

The Federal College of Education in Sokoto provides hostel accommodation for students on campus. Students are allocated furnished rooms shared between four to six people depending on availability. Basic amenities like beds, mattresses, reading tables and chairs are provided in each room. Students are expected to bring their own bedding, buckets, brooms and other personal items.

Facilities

The cafeterias provide affordable meals for students and are open from early morning until late evening.
