Federal University Dutse (FUD) is a federal government-owned university located in Dutse, Jigawa State, Nigeria. It was established in 2011 and is one of the twelve new federal universities established by the Nigerian government to expand access to higher education in the country.
FUD School Fees

FUD Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission into FUD, prospective students are required to meet the university’s admission requirements. The admission requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate programs at FUD are different and are outlined below:
Undergraduate Admission Requirements:
Prospective students seeking admission into undergraduate programs at FUD must have completed their secondary education and obtained the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) or its equivalent a minimum of five (5) credits are required to be passed, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two (2) sittings. Prospective students must also have a minimum score of 180 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have chosen FUD as their first choice of institution.
Postgraduate Admission Requirements:
Prospective students seeking admission into postgraduate programs at FUD must have a minimum of a second class lower degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
Prospective students must also have a minimum score of 50% in the university’s postgraduate entrance examination.
In addition to the above requirements, prospective postgraduate students must also submit a research proposal in their chosen field of study, as well as two academic references.
FUD Hostel Accommodation
The hostel accommodation fees at FUD are usually included in the total school fees. The hostel accommodation fees vary depending on the type of hostel and the duration of stay. Below are the estimated hostel accommodation fees for undergraduate and postgraduate students at FUD:
