University Of Jos Admission Requirements

Undergraduate Admission Requirements:

To be considered for admission into an undergraduate program at UNIJOS, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes, including Mathematics and English Language, obtained at not more than two (2) sittings.
  • Applicants must have a minimum JAMB UTME score of 180 or higher, depending on the program of study.
  • Applicants must meet the departmental cut-off mark for their chosen program of study.
  • Applicants must have chosen UNIJOS as their first or second choice institution during their UTME registration.
  • Applicants must have successfully completed the UTME and obtained the required subject combinations for their chosen program of study.

Postgraduate Admission Requirements:

To be considered for admission into a postgraduate program at UNIJOS, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants must have a minimum of a first degree (usually a Bachelor’s degree) in a relevant field from a recognized university, with a minimum of second class lower division or its equivalent.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of three (3) referees, who must be persons of academic standing, to attest to their academic and professional competence.
  • Applicants must have a minimum score in the relevant postgraduate entrance examination and interview.
