The Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE) is a specialized institution of higher learning located in Effurun, Delta State, Nigeria. Established in 2007, FUPRE is the first petroleum university in Nigeria, and one of only a few in Africa.
FUPRE School Fee
For undergraduate programs, the school fees for new students (freshers) ranges from N103,700 to N124,700 depending on the program of study.
Returning undergraduate students pay fees ranging from N61,500 to N72,500
For postgraduate programs, the fees vary depending on the program of study. The school fees for new postgraduate students range from N120,000 to N200,000, depending on the program. Returning postgraduate students pay fees ranging from N70,000 to N100,000.

FUPRE Admission Requirements
To gain admission into FUPRE, prospective students are required to meet certain admission requirements, which are as follows:
- UTME/DE: All applicants must have written the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 180. In addition, applicants seeking direct entry admission must have obtained a minimum of lower credit at National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID) or Merit at NCE level.
- O’Level Requirements: Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings in either WAEC or NECO or NABTEB.
- Post UTME Screening: Prospective students are required to participate in the FUPRE post UTME screening exercise and obtain a minimum score of 180.
- Subject Combination: Applicants must ensure that they have the correct subject combination for their chosen program of study, as specified in the JAMB brochure.
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 16 years of age by October 1 of the year of admission.
- Character Requirement: Applicants must possess good moral character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offense.
- Medical Fitness: Applicants must be medically fit and provide evidence of medical fitness from a recognized government hospital.
