Usman Danfodiyo University Admission Requirements

Below are the general admission requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate students at UDUS.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least five credit passes in relevant subjects in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
  • Candidates must have sat for and scored a minimum of 180 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  • Candidates must have chosen UDUS as their first choice or changed to UDUS as their first choice institution on JAMB’s website.
  • Candidates must have passed the post-UTME screening exercise conducted by the university.
  • Direct Entry candidates must possess at least two A-level passes or its equivalent in relevant subjects.

Postgraduate Admission Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in a relevant field with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of a credit pass in Mathematics and English in their O’level result.
  • Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division for Ph.D. applicants.
  • Candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% in the university’s postgraduate entrance examination.
