About Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic
Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic was established in 1992 by the Kaduna State Government as a tertiary institution to train technical teachers and craftsmen in various vocations. The Polytechnic is located in Zaria, Kaduna State.
It was named after Alhaji Nuhu Bamalli, a one-time Emir of Zazzau who contributed immensely to the educational development of the old Zaria Province during the colonial era.

Minimum Requirements for Admission
In order to be admitted, you must:
- Have at least five credits in related subjects, such as English Language, Mathematics, one Science subject, and two other subjects. You can get these credits in one sitting or over two sittings, but not more than five credits in a row.
- You have to be at least 16 years old to apply.
Must have at least five years of education after elementary school. - For Direct Entry candidates, you must have at least one upper credit in the appropriate ND program.
- Must get at least the minimum score on the UTME to get into the college. The cut-off mark changes every year based on how much competition there is.
- Must have made their first choice when they signed up for JAMB.
Steps for Applying
If you want to get Admission you need to do the following:
- You can either buy the college’s application form from the admissions office or get it from the website. Carefully read and fill out the form.
- Attach printouts of your IDs, such as your birth certificate, WAEC or NECO results, proof of where you live, etc., to the form you’ve filled out
- Before the due date, bring the completed admission form along with the necessary papers to the admissions office. Applications that are too late will not be looked at.
- Check the website or notice board of the admissions office or the admissions list to see if you were given provisional admission.
- You have until the due date to accept the offer of entry on the college’s website or in person at the admissions office. If you do not accept by the limit, you will lose your chance to be admitted.
- When school starts up again, go to the college for screening and registration. Bring the original copies of the papers that are attached to your admission form so that they can be checked.

Hostel Accommodation
Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic offers comfortable hostel accommodation for students within the campus. The hostels are equipped with necessary facilities to ensure students have a conducive learning environment during their stay.
Male Hostel
The male hostel can accommodate up to 1000 students. Each room is furnished with bed, mattress, wardrobe and study table for each student. The hostel has common areas for recreation and study, with provisions for indoor games, television, gymnasium and 24-hour power supply.
Female Hostel
The female hostel provides accommodation for up to 500 students. In addition to the standard room facilities as the male hostel, the female hostel has increased security with female security officers and surveillance cameras for the safety of students. A sick bay is also available in the hostel with a resident nurse for any medical emergencies.
Catering
Three nutritious meals are provided daily to all students staying at the hostels. The meals consist of breakfast, lunch and dinner with a variety of options for students to choose from to cater to different dietary requirements and preferences. Clean drinking water is also supplied throughout the hostels.
Rules and Regulations
To facilitate a conducive environment for learning, students staying at the hostels must abide by the rules and regulations set by the school management. Some of these include:
- No noise or disturbance after 10pm to avoid disruption to others.
- No cooking allowed in the rooms. All meals must be taken at the designated dining halls.
- No alcohol or drugs allowed in the hostels.
- All hostel facilities must be kept clean and any damage will be charged to the responsible students.
- Visitors are not allowed in the hostel after 8pm.
