About The School

The Federal Government of Nigeria established a number of new universities in 2021, one of which is the Federal University of Health Sciences in Ila-Orangun (FUSHI), which is located in the state of Osun. It is hoped that this would create the framework for improving national readiness and resilience in light of upcoming issues in the health sector and reducing the number of people who seek medical treatment outside of the country. As the first Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, it was my obligation to organize and collect the necessary resources in order to prepare for the university’s inauguration and provide ongoing support for it.

To begin, a school fee is a charge that is applied to each and every legal student enrolled in a program. This applies to students who are either new to the program or returning students, as well as to indigenous people and people who are not indigenous to the program.

The school fees at the Federal University of Health Science Ila-Orangu, Osun State vary depending on the department:

FUSHI Admission Requirements

Before enrolling at any school, prospective students are expected to fulfill a series of requirements known as prerequisites. The Federal University of Health Science has established the following standards for admissions consideration:

  • Before being taken into consideration for admission, candidates are required to rank the institution as their first preference.
  • Candidates are need to have a JAMB score or cut-off mark of at least 180 in order to be considered.
  • Candidates for the UTME in 2022/2023 are required to have a minimum of five (5) “O” level (SSCE) credits between the subjects of mathematics, English, chemistry, physics, and biology.
  • Candidates that meet the qualifications will be expected to go through the screening process that the school has in place.
  • Admission to candidates must first be proven through completion of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.
  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old in order to be considered for this position.
  • In addition, applicants for direct entry are required to have two ‘A’ level pass results, including ND with a pass, as well as at least five SSCE credits, with five or more credits passing the exam.

FUSHI Hostel Accommodation

It is now possible for first-year students as well as students who are continuing their education to obtain housing in hostels. When it comes to assigning available beds at hostels, the “first come, first served” approach is strictly adhered to.Hostels are offered to students as well as any other person who chooses to live on campus.
