The Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas Bonny has a rich history dating back to 1978. It was originally established as the Nigerian College of Petroleum Technology to meet the increasing demand for advanced technological manpower in the oil and gas industry.

In 2007, the college was upgraded to a Federal Polytechnic and renamed the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas Bonny. The Polytechnic is located in the Bonny Island of Rivers State, Nigeria – right in the heart of Nigeria’s oil and gas production hub.

As a public Institution in Nigeria, the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas Bonny aims to keep school fees affordable for students. For the 2020/2021 academic year, tuition for ND and HND programs are:

ND 1 & 2: Around ₦40,000-₦50,000 per semester
ND 3: Around ₦30,000 per semester
HND 1 & 2: Around ₦50,000-₦60,000 per semester
