About Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education

Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education, Kumbotso, Kano (SRCOE) was established in 1978 as Sa’adatu Rimi College of Preliminary Studies. It was later renamed Sa’adatu Rimi College of Advanced Studies before being upgraded to a College of Education. The college is named after Hajiya Sa’adatu Rimi, the first female commissioner in Northern Nigeria.

SRCOE offers National Certificate in Education (NCE) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) programs. It has a student population of over 3,000 and a staff strength of about 350. The college aims to produce qualified teachers for basic education in Nigeria.
