University of Maiduguri Admission Requirements
For Undergraduate Programs
- O’ Level Results: Candidates applying for undergraduate programs must have a minimum of five credit passes in relevant subjects at the O’ Level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) in not more than two sittings.
- UTME: Aspirants must sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and score the minimum score of 180 or above in the relevant subjects.
- Post-UTME: Candidates must also participate in the UNIMAID Post-UTME screening exercise and attain the minimum cut-off mark for their respective programs.
- Direct Entry: Candidates applying for Direct Entry must possess a minimum of two A-level passes or its equivalent in relevant subjects. Candidates with National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or NCE with a minimum of Lower Credit are also eligible to apply.
- Age: Candidates must be at least 16 years old at the time of admission.
For Postgraduate Programs
- Bachelor’s Degree: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second Class Lower Division) from a recognized university.
- Academic Transcript: Candidates must provide an official academic transcript of their Bachelor’s Degree program.
