In Gwallameji, Bauchi State, in central Nigeria, there is a federal polytechnic called Federal Polytechnic Bauchi. The college is dedicated to providing its students with quality education in Technology and Commerce. Students are trained to develop skilled manpower in Nigeria’s technological sector in an effort to have sustainable national development. The college is funded and managed by the federal government of Nigeria. 

Prospective students from all religious and cultural backgrounds are welcome at the polytechnic because it has neither a religious nor a cultural affiliation. As a result, there are many different kinds of students. Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Admission Requirement

Before submitting an application, prospective students are responsible for ensuring that they satisfy all of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, which are as follows:

ND Requirements :

Candidates must make sure that they satisfy all of the following requirements before they may be considered for admission to Federal Polytechnic Bauchi through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME):

  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 16 years old when they submit their applications; candidates must not be under the age of 16.
  • Educational Requirements: Applicants must be in possession of a minimum of five (5) credits in pertinent courses, including Mathematics and English Language, achieved at not more than two sittings in either the WASSCE, NECO, or NABTEB examinations.
  • Candidates are required to have selected Federal Polytechnic Bauchi as either their first or second choice institution and to have stated the course of study that they would like to pursue before being considered for this position.
  • Registration: Applicants are required to have finished the online registration process for the UTME examination, which includes selecting an educational institution and a program of study.

After candidates have demonstrated that they satisfy these requirements, they will be required to take part in the post-UTME screening exercise that will be run by the polytechnic. Candidates will be evaluated depending on how well they perform in the screening exercise, which typically consists of a written examination and an oral interview. Candidates will be ranked according to how well they do in these assessments.

The candidates’ chances of being accepted into the polytechnic will be determined based, in part, on the results of the screening exercise that will be conducted.

HND requirements:

Candidates must demonstrate that they satisfy all of the following requirements in order to be considered for entry into the Higher National Diploma (HND) program at Federal Polytechnic Bauchi:

  • National Diploma: Candidates must be in possession of a National Diploma (ND) from a recognized institution in a field of study that is relevant to the position being applied for.
  • Educational Requirements: Applicants must have successfully completed the ND program with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.50 and a minimum grade of Lower Credit in the applicable field of study.
  • Industrial Training: Applicants are required to have graduated from and successfully completed the necessary one-year Industrial Training (IT) program that followed the ND program.
  • JAMB Admission Letter: Candidates are required to provide proof that they have been accepted into the ND program by submitting a valid JAMB admission letter.
  • Transcripts: Applicants are required to both obtain and show their academic transcripts from any previous educational institutions they have attended.
  • O-level Requirements: Candidates must hold a minimum of five (5) credits in relevant subjects, including Mathematics and English Language, achieved in not more than two sittings in either the WASSCE, NECO, or NABTEB. In addition, candidates must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0.

Candidates who satisfy these conditions will be invited to participate in a screening exercise. During this exercise, they will be evaluated based on their academic qualifications, work experience, and how well they do in the screening test. The Higher National Diploma (HND) program at Federal Polytechnic Bauchi will extend an offer of admission to students who are successful

Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Hostel Accomodation

Federal polytechnic Bauchi provides hostel accommodation for both the new and old student. Hostel accommodation fee is N6,000 Naira per student.
