Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education, Kumbotso, Kano (SRCOE) was established in 1978 as Sa’adatu Rimi College of Preliminary Studies. It was later renamed Sa’adatu Rimi College of Advanced Studies before being upgraded to a College of Education. The college is named after Hajiya Sa’adatu Rimi, the first female commissioner in Northern Nigeria.
